Sound of numbers has developed a program which they claim to be “Software for acoustic engineers by acoustic engineers”. The program is easy and fast to use and you are quickly drawing your own house for testing the sound insulation.
Assessing large buildings is not an acoustic problem anymore - we have created the tool allowing you to concentrate on pure acoustic performance.
The working philosophy is simple: SONarchitect has 6 working modes. Complete these six simple stages and get your results.

Working plan by plan you will be able to model the entire building. Create, copy, edit and arrange your plans to create a building. Create multiple floors from a unique plan. Import selected layers from DXF files to use them as templates. Enclosures are automatically generated by crossing lines.
Smart drawing tools stick to corners, centers and lines, force local and global orthogonals and allow precise angles and lengths. Take references within the current plan, other plans, or templates.
Draw as many walls per room as you need without any geometrical restriction.”
The Material database is growing everyday so it should be possible to find the materials you need to make a model and experience SONarchitect’s easiness of use. It even lets you enter the building after completed simulation to experience the acoustics in the building.
Now you can listen to your building!
Select a sound file from the built-in tracks or you can even load your own file. The source is placed on the source room (blue). Play, adjust the volume and listen it in the source room (for a better performance the use of a good pair of headphones is highly recommended). Feel the difference listening it in the Receiving room. You can change Source and Receiving in real time.”
